Between the occasional amusing joke and catchy musical number, this Alvin update is a very soulless movie.. The jokes in "Planes" are runway flat, and parents will likely reach for the air-sickness bag.. Wall-E, it's not, but its target kiddie audience will have no problem whatsoever adopting Bolt..
